Over 17,000 PhD Holders In Nigeria Are Unemployed – Ogbeni Dipo
Dr. Dipo Awojide, a UK based Nigerian lecturer and social media influencer has taken to twitter to reveal a staggering number of PhD holders who are unemployed in Nigeria.
Dr. Dipo popularly known as Ogbeni Dipo on the Twitter micro blogging platform, revealed that over 17,000 people with PhD qualification are roaming the streets of Nigeria jobless.

His tweet has sparked a heated conversation on the subject of unemployment in the country once again.
Some of the fans were of the view that, the youth should focus on gaining employable skills than just going through a system of education just to acquire some papers.

Unemployment is generally high in most countries in the world but the case for third world countries is even worst.
A couple of years ago an unemployed graduate set himself ablaze to spark the Tunisian uprising.
Graduate unemployment is skyrocketing in most countries in Africa. Due to the high population of Nigeria, its number of unemployed graduates even looks scary.
