Students Will Be At The Receiving End In The ASUU And FG Tussle – Don Jazzy
Popular Nigerian artiste, music producer and boss of Mavins records, Michael Collins Ajere, popularly known as Don Jazzy in the entertainment industry, has added his voice to the ongoing tussle between the federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
Sharing his opinion on the strike action by ASUU via his Twitter handle, Don Jazzy noted that students will be the most affected in the ongoing tussle between the government and the lecturers.

Among some of the grievances ASUU wants the federal government to address include salaries which they said has not been reviewed in eleven years now.
They therefore vowed to keep the strike action until all their demands are met.

It’s in this light that Don Jazzy wants the stakeholders in the education sector to work swiftly to address the issue for the sake of the students who are directly affected badly.
His tweet reads: “An African proverb says, “when two elephants fight, it’s the grass that gets trampled.” The two elephants – ASUU and the FG. Students would be at the receiving end. A very sad situation. Stakeholders should pls try as much as possible not to let this strike action linger.”
