Reports reaching us says a diesel tanker offloading diesel at the Access Bank premises in Victoria Island, Lagos, caught fire and exploded Causing fire in the vicinity.

No life was lost but the tanker and a car close by were destroyed. Sources say the swift intervention of firefighter prevented the fire from destroying the Access Bank building.

Speaking on the incident, the General Manager, LASEMA, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said, “On arrival at the incident scene, it was observed that a fully loaded 33,000 litres diesel tanker with number plate AKD 637 XP and a car stationed beside it with number plate AKD 234 FA were completely ravaged by the fire.
