Make Pidgin Nigeria First Language – Brymo Advocates
Sensational Nigerian singer, Brymo has taken to social media to campaign for Pidgin English to be made the official language in Nigeria.
According to him, Pidgin is spoken in every state in Nigeria and it will make a lot of sense to have it as a national language.

He thinks that, Pidgin is still English language with a local touch that all indigenes can identify with.
He tweeted: “Make pidgin Nigeria first language… it’s still English, only it has bits of local lingua- it is spoken in maybe every state in the country… e go mad when presido come tv greet say “una good afternoon my fellow country people”… shiiiiiit!!!!”

Pidgin English is widely spoken across the West Africa sub-region. All English speaking countries in Africa speak pidgin as well.
In the past, there has been similar calls for Nigeria to adopt pidgin as the official language. The country is also credited for the invention of pidgin English.
