Adele Rocks Traditional Africa Hairstyle In New Look, Fans Attack Her – Photo

Award winning British singer Adele has sent fans talking on social media after sharing a new look which is totally different from what we know. The singer was seen rocking a traditional African hairstyle and in a bikini top with Jamaican flag.

Adele’s hair was intricately twisted in a style similar to Bantu knots, adorned with bright yellow feathers behind her head.

“Happy what would be Notting Hill Carnival my beloved London,” She wrote Sunday night, in tribute to the annual event. Her name trended on social media after she posted the image.

The Notting Hill Carnival is held annually in London as a way to celebrate Black British culture. It has taken place since 1966, but was held online this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

She was bashed for cultural appropriation by some critics; “If 2020 couldn’t get anymore bizarre, Adele is giving us Bantu knots and cultural appropriation that nobody asked for,” journalist Ernest Owens wrote on Twitter.

“Dear white people, please just be yourselves and stop it for good with cultural appropriation. Adele the bantu knots were unnecessary. The Jamaican flag bikini top was unnecessary… Please just stop it,”
