Renown DJ Behind Hit Song “I Like To Move It” Found Dead At A Beach

DJ Erick Morillo, the renown musician behind the 90s hit song “I Like To Move It” is dead. His body was found at the Miami Beach on September 1, according to TMZ. He died at age 49.

Reports are sketchy around the main cause of his death and law enforcement sources told the news agency that they are working to find the cause of death.

His death comes just weeks after he was arrested in Miami on sexual battery charges. The alleged victim claimed she and Morillo had gone to his place after a gig where they had both been Djing.

She alleges she resisted his sexual advances, and then went to sleep at his place, but woke up nude with Morillo standing next to her, also nude.

Erick was best known for producing electro dance track I Like To Movie It, which he released in 1993 under the pseudonym Reel 2 Real. “Madagascar” movie franchise revived his hit song recently as it was used in the movie.
