Nigerian Singer, Harry Song Slams Buhari For The Hikes In Commodity Prices

The recent increase in petroleum and electricity prices has proved too much for the ordinary Nigerian to bear. Despite the public outcry that greeted the hikes in petroleum and electricity prices, there hasn’t been any serious nationwide protest to that effect.

Nigerian singer and song writer, Harrysong is one of the millions of Nigerians who are not happy about the hikes in commodity prices including utility bills.

He took to twitter to lament about the situation and added that he and other Nigerians are afraid to protest because when they do that, they will be “opressed and arrested”.

He made this comment whiles reacting to a tweet by popular member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Henry Shield.

Henry Shield’s tweet reads: “Like play like play, APC took a bag of Rice from N8k to N32k. Fuel from N89 to N162, a dollar from N160 to N480”

Commenting under the tweet, Harrysong wrote: “na wa o ..and if we complain .. they’ll oppress us and arrest us”.

It will be recalled that popular musicians, Don Jazzy, Waje and Yemi Alade were allegedly invited by the Lagos State Police where they were warned to desist from making social media comments that go against the Buhari’s administration.
