Nigerian Singer, Runtown Set Date To Lead A Protest To End SARS

Nigerian singer, Douglas Jack Agu popularly known as Runtown in the entertainment industry has stated his intention to lead a peaceful protest that will see the disbandment of the SARS department of the Nigerian police unit.

SARS has come under severe attacks on social media in the last couple of hours following the killing of a young man in Lagos.

Nigerians especially the celebrities have not taken it lightly at all and have all vented their anger towards the brutalities.

Wizkid called out president Buhari on Twitter for ignoring the killings by SARS in his country whiles sending out solidarity messages to Donald Trump and his wife after they contracted the Covid-19.

Runtown has set aside Thursday, October 8 as the day he will be leading the protest against SARS. He revealed this in a series of tweets.

He tweeted: “This has gone long enough and now we MUST take action! I’ll be leading a protest to #ENDSARS on Thursday, October 8th 2020.
They MUST listen to us, they MUST make/effect REAL and VISIBLE changes! Empty promises won’t work this time!!!
Let’s all come out to peacefully reach out to our “Elected” leaders beyond social media!!!
