Shatta Wale Joins Nigerians To Protest Against SARS Brutalities

Controversial Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has joined forces with his celebrity friends in Nigeria to raise their voices against police brutalities in the country.

There has been a nationwide protest in Nigeria against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad – SARS led by various celebrities.

The youths have accused the special unit of the police force of harassment, killing of innocent people and extortions. They have been protesting on the streets for the past few days after a young unarmed man was killed by SARS.

Shatta Wale, who describes himself as a freedom fighter has decided to join Nigerians to protest against the atrocities meted out to citizens by SARS.

Taking to his twitter handle, the self-styled king of African dancehall music noted that, police brutality anywhere is a threat to nation building. Therefore, the happenings in Nigeria must stop.

He tweeted: “I have been following what’s happening to our people in Nigeria and as someone who believes in freedom and justice, the rise of the streets, I will like to say these things must stop 🚫 Police brutality anywhere is a threat to nation building #StopPoliceBrutality #EndSARS”
