Gaming Commission Ban Celebrities From Advertising For Betting Companies In Ghana – Shatta Wale And Other Top Celebs React (Watch Video)
The Gaming Commission of Ghana has taken measures to ban celebrities from advertising for betting companies in the country.
The commission released a press statement enumerating the reasons why the action was taken.
Part of the statement read; vii. Operators shall not use celebrities in their advertisements to entice the general public to gamble.

In light of the above action, many Ghanaian celebrities have teamed up to speak against the commission. Some even threatened to sue the government agency for taking food from their table.
Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale spoke in a video saying he was confused as to why such action is being taken by the commission.

He also said the ban, unlike FDA banning celebrities from advertising alcoholic products, will affect everyone in the entertainment industry.
Wendy Shay, who has been vocal since FDA ban them from advertising alcoholic products, called for all celebs in the country to come together and fight the monopoly system that is squeezing the life from their industry.
