Nigerian afrobeats singer, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has taken on the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari on Twitter for not showing concern for the plight of Nigerian youth.
The singer noted that president Buhari has only addressed the citizens only once in the last ten days since the protest started.
He wrote: “Our president has only addressed us once in the past 10 days … despite everything that is going on.”
Davido added that, there’s the need for electoral reforms in the country so that politicians will know that they owe the citizens a lot of explanation when things are not moving right.
He added: “We need #ElectoralReform for these leaders to truly understand this accountability we are asking for is our right!!!”
“This is the problem. They don’t feel like they owe us enough. That they owe us explanations enough. That our unhappiness shouldn’t cost them their sleep!!! It all goes back to our votes and the fact they feel we ate not responsible for them being in these positions !!”
