Government To Set Up Judicial Enquiry To Investigate Police Brutalities Against Protesters – Osinbajo Hints

The vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has taken to his Twitter handle to commiserate with families that have lost their relatives during the nationwide protest against SARS and police brutalities.

The vice president in a lengthy tread on Twitter detailed what the Federal government is doing to see to it that the youth have their demands met.

He first of all acknowledged that the youth were right to protest because the police have harassed, maimed, killed and extorted the youth in the past.

He also paid tribute to those who lost their relatives in the process and promised that justice would be served accordingly.

He revealed that he has met with 36 State Governors and they have resolved to setting up a Judicial Enquiry to look into the unprofessional conducts of some police officers.

He finally assured that SARS has been disestablished and none of its members would be part of any tactical unit of the police force.
