“Don’t Blame Nana Addo For Buhari’s Incompetence” – Medikal Tells Yvonne Nelson

Ghanaian rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong popularly known as Medikal has taken to his Twitter handle to counter a call by Yvonne Nelson on the president of Ghana to intervene in the Nigerian crisis.

Yvonne Nelson, Manifest and a host of other Ghanaian celebrities launched a social media campaign to get the president of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo to use his power as the ECOWAS chairman to call the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari to order.

Since the protests started in Nigeria, it has been characterized by pockets of violence and killings but Buhari remained adamant.

The regional body of ECOWAS of which Nana Akufo-Addo is the president, has not also made any statement to condemn the act and call Buhari to order.

It’s against this backdrop that, Yvonne Nelson and her colleagues launched a social media campaign to get Nana to do the right thing as ECOWAS chairman.

Medikal however, holds a contrary view. He thinks that Nana Akufo-Addo should not be blamed for the incompetence of Buhari.

He opined that, Nana Akufo-Addo may be doing something behind the scenes and will roll out a road map soon that would see to the ending of police brutalities in Nigeria and other West African nations.

He tweeted: “The Ghanaian president ein silence on social media no de mean say he is doing nothing behind closed doors. Maybe he is, who knows ? How many times wonna President address the nation during COVID/ lockdown period in Ghana ? Severally ! don’t blame Nana for Buhari’s incompetence !”
