Governor Obaseki Gives Jail Escapees 3 Days Ultimatum To Voluntarily Return Or Face The Wrath Of The Law
The political head of Edo State, Governor Godwin Obaseki has given prisoners who escaped from the Oko Prisons some days ago, a three-day ultimatum to voluntarily return to prison or face the wrath of the law.
The Nigerian Tribune reports that the governor paid a working visit to the center earlier today, October 21 to do an assessment of the center.

He was in the company of of the Controller of Correction, Edo State Command, Babayo Maisanda.

The controller announced that six out of the 1,993 inmates who escaped has voluntarily returned.
It will be recalled that some thugs hijacked the End SARS protest some few days ago and attacked the correctional facility where they broke the center and freed up the prisoners.
