“I Have No Words, My Heart Is Bleeding” – Teni Laments Lekki Toll Gate Killings

Female Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata simply referred to as Teni in the entertainment industry has taken to twitter to lament the recent killing of innocent protesters at the Lekki toll gate yesterday.

Social media and traditional media were awashed with news and images as well as videos of the Lekki toll gate killings which has now been termed as the “Lekki toll gate massacre”.

Dozens of helpless unarmed protesters were shot by men of the military killing scores of them. Many were also left with life threatening injuries at the end.

Taking to twitter, Teni revealed that in her entire life, she has never seen what happened yesterday at the Lekki toll gate. She added that she was heart broken due to the way the killings were carried out.

She tweeted: “I have no words! My heart is bleeding. I have Never seen anything like this in my whole life.”

Meanwhile, the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu has apologized for his actions leading to the killing of the protesters.
