Singer, Rema Recounts How He Lost His Brother Due To Bad Health Care Some Years Ago

Nigerian singer and a member of Don Jazzy’s Mavins Records, Rema has recounted how bad health care system in Nigeria killed his brother some few years ago.

The artiste took to twitter to lament about bad governance that is leading to the deteriorating nature of important service delivery installations in the country.

The artiste noted that, his brother was sick and required surgery to correct his health defect but there was no lighting system at the facility at the time.

His brother, according to Rema’s narration, had to be operated on using candle light as a source of lightning for the surgical procedures.

In his account, the doctors cut his brother wrongly due to poor lighting and he bled to death. He accused the politicians of sitting on money that could have been used to give the health care system a facelift.

His tweet reads: “I lost my Brother to Nigeria’s bad healthcare system, they did a surgery on him with a candle light 🕯 they cut him wrongly and he bled to death. The money to provide good healthcare system is in an old man’s foreign account and they keep borrowing using our pain as their format.”
