Sista Afia Suspends The Release Of Her New Song Sika – Find Out The Reasons Here

Ghanaian singer, Sista Afia has put the release of her new single, “Sika” on hold due to the ongoing brutalities against Nigerian youth.

The singer took to twitter to make this announcement. She noted that, the postponement is a sign of respect for the lives of those who are being killed in the recent protest.

Personnels of the Nigerian army opened gun fire at unarmed harmless protesters at the Lekki toll gate yesterday killing dozens in the process.

This has attracted worldwide condemnation and Sista Afia was not left out in condemning the act.

She, together with some other celebrities called out president Nana Akufo-Addo on Twitter for his silence over the matter. This forced him to make a statement this evening also condemning the act.

Sista Afia has taken her concern for the lives lost a notch higher by suspending the release of her song.

She tweeted: “The release of “Sika” has been postponed by management “Not because it won’t trend but the right thing MUST be done first 🙏🏾❤️ #EndSarsNow #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigera”
