Alaafin Of Oyo Slams Government For The Lekki Toll Gate Shootings
The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, has slammed the government for its role in the Lekki Toll Gate shooting incident that happened on Tuesday October 20.
The traditional monarch noted that the Federal government should have listened to the concerns of the youth long time ago and address their concerns.

This, according to him would have prevented the issue from degenerating to the chaos that’s been witnessed across the country in recent days.

The grand monarch made this remarks yesterday, Tuesday October 27 during the stakeholders meeting that was held at the House of Chiefs, the Parliament Building Agodi Secretariat Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.
He stated a similar incident that happened in South Africa in 1960 whiles noting that the protest has affected more traditional rulers than even government officials.
