Majority Of The People We Vote Into Office Are Educated And Not Enlightened – Rita Dominic

Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic has taken an aim at the political class of Nigeria, noting that majority of them are educated but not enlightened.

Her comments come at the back of the recent comments made by her former colleague in Nollywood, Desmond Elliot.

Desmond said in the Lagos State House of Assembly that there will be no Nigeria in the next five years due to the abuse of social media by the youth.

In reacting to his comments, Rita Dominic opined that, those voted into office are not enlightened – the reason why they make some of their utterances.

She took to twitter and wrote: “You can be educated yet not enlightened. Majority of those we vote into office are obviously not the latter. Get your PVC out. Stop staying home during elections. We must remove people who do not believe in the democratic process. #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutalityInNigeria”
