Others including Justin Bierber also had problems with where he was nominated in. He challenged that his album which was nominated for the best R&B album of the year is pop music and not R&B.

He took to his instastory to write that, a time will come when the Grammys which used to be the target of every artiste will no longer matter anymore.

He added that, the Weeknd was one artiste that everyone predicted to be a strong contender for the best album of the year award.

“I think we should stop allowing ourselves to be shocked every year by the disconnect between impactful music and these awards and just accept that what once was the highest form of recognition may no longer matter to the artists that exist now and the ones that come after. It’s like a relative you keep expecting to fix up but they just can’t change their ways,” Drake wrote.
