Nigerian human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu has put the spotlight on the plight of poor people in Nigeria.

Nigeria is officially the country that leads all other countries in the poverty league and is considered as the poverty capital of the world.

Despite having the most billionaires in Africa, Nigeria also boasts of having the most poor people than any other country.

With the abundance of poor people in Nigeria, one can imagine what these people go through on a daily basis just to fend for themselves.

Aside the everyday struggles to put food on the table, most of them are marginalized and are exploited without getting justice.

Aisha Yesufu in a tweet, noted that poor people in Nigeria are considered faceless, voiceless and nameless.

This simply means that, no one considers the feelings of the poor when they’re dealing with them. Their voices don’t matter in any decision making.

Her tweet reads: “When you are poor in Nigeria, you are nameless, faceless and voiceless.”
