Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
The striker who has been out of action since November 8 after dislocating his shoulder in an international duty with the Super Eagles, tested positive for the virus after returning to camp.

After returning, he was made to undergo a mandatory Covid-19 test of which the results came out positive.

A statement from the Napoli side confirmed that the striker is asymptomatic and has since commenced treatment in isolation.
Part of the statement reads: “Napoli can confirm that Victor Osimhen has tested positive for COVID-19 following his return to Italy,” Napoli said in a statement.
“Osimhen is currently asymptomatic and has not come into contact with the rest of the squad.”
