Veteran Nigerian singer, Banky Wellington popularly known as Banky W and his wife, Adesua Etomi are celebrating three years of their marriage.

The couple took to their social media pages to shower each other with sweet words to mark the day.

Banky W revealed that, the secret to their blissful marriage is because their marriage is built on God.

He shared a video of their wedding day three years ago and accompanied it with a lengthy letter. Below is what he wrote about the video.

“Can “being in love” sustain a marriage?

“3 years ago, Susu and I made the decision to love each other forever. But the only reason forever is even possible, is because we made the decision to make God our foundation. And while a foundation is the part of the house that people don’t see, it’s by far the most important.

“Because you can fix cracks in the walls, refurbish the rooms and repaint the halls, but you can’t get the foundation wrong if you want any chance of the house standing at all. The structural integrity of a house requires a foundation that is built to last.

“I recently heard a Pastor say that love can’t keep a marriage going… he said it takes God and commitment. I think maybe he had a bit of a misunderstanding of what love really means. Because… well, God IS love. And love is commitment. Without both, it certainly isn’t love and it definitely won’t work. People sometimes think Susu led me to God. But it’s not true. God led me to Susu. And He has kept us through it all.

“Marrying @adesuaetomi is the 2nd best decision I made in my adult life. The best was re-dedicating my life to Christ.

“Susu, I am thankful for you, and grateful to you. You are everything I want and much more than I deserve. You mean the world to me and I intend to spend the rest of my life proving it. I love you now more than ever.
3 years down, I’m looking forward to forever.

Actress, Adesua Etomi-Wellington has taken the presidential aide of Muhammadu Buhari, Lauretta Onochie to the cleaners after she shared a photo of underprivileged Nigerian kids wearing papers as masks on social media.

The children wore masks made of cardboards and the presidential aide happily posted the photo to advise people to learn from the kids and take the wearing of masks seriously.

Adesua saw the post and got livid over it. She reacted angrily to the post and advised that Lauretta Onochie should be ashamed of herself for sharing such a photo. Below are her words.

” You are a disgrace. Both home & abroad. You should be ashamed that these children have to do this with cardboards. Instead of talking about how to tackle poverty so they can be protected adequately against the virus, you’re spewing this nonsense.

This picture made me so angry and brought tears to my eyes. They are so small, so vulnerable and so unprotected. Arghhhhhh. THIS COUNTRY

I am finally accepting the fact that some human beings, really are dead on the inside. Didn’t understand how that could be even possible. I’m realising every day that it is.”

Following the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Nigeria, there has been a need for the government and people of the West African country to ensure precautionary measures to avert its spread.

Nigerian celebrity couple, Banky W and Adesua Etomi are already taking steps to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

Banky and Adesua said that they had been self-isolating after the news someone who attended the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) has tested positive.

This follows the announcement by the Lagos state commissioner of health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, alerted the public that people who attended the event should self-isolate because an attendee has already tested positive.
