The organizers of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, MultiChoice Nigeria has revealed that this year’s edition has over 900 million votes.

This figure according to the organizers is the highest ever, since the inception of the reality show.

This statistics was made known by the managing director of MultiChoice Nigeria, Mr. John Ugbe during the presentation of the N85 million grand prize to this year’s winner, Olamilekan Agbeleshe popularly known as Laycon.

The presentation was done today, Wednesday, September 30. Thirty other lucky fans who predicted Laycon’s win also walked home with one million Naira each.

The Big Brother Naija reality show was started in 2006 and had to go for an 11 years long break and returned only in 2017.

This year’s edition was the 5th season which has been touted to be the most keenly contested and most successful so far.

2020 Big Brother Naija Lockdown edition ended on Sunday September 27 with housemate Laycon emerging as winner of show.

Laycon beat the likes of Dorathy, Nengi, Neo and Vee with a highest number of votes 60% from viewers. The lowest was from fans of Vee with just 1.18% votes.

BBNaija housemate Nengi has been evicted from the show after she placed 3rd in the finals.

Nengi, 23-years, becomes the 18th housemate to be evicted from the show tonight at the ongoing finale.

Vee was first to be evicted placing 5th and winning a trip to South Africa and some cash followed by Neo then Nengi.
