Celebrated Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has won the video of the year accolade at the Black Entertainment TV (BET) Awards with his collaboration with American singer, Beyonce.

The song, “Brown Skin Girl” is a record by Beyonce in which he featured the Nigerian star and a couple of other artistes.

It was nominated in the category of the best video of the year in the BET Soul Train Awards.

BET took to twitter and wrote: “Congrats to @Beyonce, Blue Ivy (youngest winner ever!), @SAINtJHN & @wizkidayo for winning Video of the Year for Brown Skin Girl! #SoulTrainAwards”

Wizkid is on the verge of clinching yet another international award as his collaboration with Beyonce has earned a nomination at the Soul Train Music Awards.

Nigerian rapper, CDQ has slammed American pop star, Beyonce for not appreciating Wizkid for their collaboration on her Lion King album.

The Nigerian singer was featured on the track, “Brown Skin Girl” off the Lion King album.

The video which was shot and released some few months ago put less premium on Wizkid who sang most part of the song.

He was featured scarcely in the video and had his name placed at the end of the list of artistes who played a role in the track.

It’s this attitude that is pissing the rapper off. CDQ did not understand why Wizkid’s name will appear last even after names who didn’t sing in the track.

CDQ took to his Twitter handle to register his displeasure at the attitude of the American songstress.

He tweeted: “Omoo but Americans Dey take piss sometimes o. how d fuck my bwoi Wiz go sing full song with u Beyonce and u com show am briefly for d video still put some names b4 him com carry him name put for back back like say na ajasa e just do for d song… ogun wan kill una papa ni”

Ghana’s president, Nana Akufo-Addo has joined the tall list of public figures who have congratulated dancehall artist, Shatta Wale after the latter was featured on Beyonce’s ‘Already‘ hit song.

The 35 year old musician whose real name is Charles Nii Armah Mensah has been trending the past few days after the song was released as part of Beyonce’s Lion King themed album, Black is King.

The dancehall sensation had earlier been chastised after he had said in an interview that the president had congratulated him on his collaboration with the American superstar.

The latest tweet from the presidency will definitely confirm his revelation as he continues to enjoy an impeccable relationship with the current occupant of the Jubilee House.

English singer-songwriter Adele looks almost unrecognizable in an Instagram photo she shared. Fans of the ‘Someone Like You’ singer were surprised how she had lost so much weight.

The singer on Instagram showed her support for Beyonce’s experimental album Black is King but her fans paid attention to her weight loss more than her compliment to Beyonce.
