Contentious Grammy Nominated artist Burna Boy has reacted to reports circulating that he and his father were arrested by Nigerian police on Sunday.

AfricaCelebrities.Com intercepted a video on Sunday which captured the Afrobeat artist engaged in an unpleasant brawl with his neighbors.

In the video, his neighbor complained bitterly over Burna Boys noisy lifestyle and as such reported him to the police. According to the video, he was taken in for questioning.

But Burna Boy has hilariously, responded to the claims on his snapchat with some funny meme asking who was arrested.

Popular Nigerian singer, songwriter, entertainer, and Grammy-awards nominee, Burna Boy was said to have been arrested as it dominated all media space across Nigeria.

According to the Lagos police Division, the video that went viral of Burna Boy and his father’s arrest on Sunday morning is entirely false.

The police have confirmed that they do not have the Dangote crooner in their custody as the rumour says.

The Lagos Police in a press encounter said:

“They just recycled an old story. There was something that happened a very long time ago and it was resolved then. It’s not a recent event… But we don’t have him in our custody. He wasn’t arrested yesterday, we don’t even have complaints against him from yesterday. We don’t have such a case as reported online now. The reports online claim that he was arrested yesterday by our men but it’s not true. We don’t have such reports. That is my confirmation.”
