The latest American star to acknowledge Burna is rapper/singer Wiz Khalifa. He shared a series of photos and videos on his IG page in which he was jamming to Burnaboy’s Ye in one video.

Every year former American president Barack Obama releases the playlist which made his year a memorable one. This year he has released his favourite songs of 2019 and it includes tracks by Nigerian artists Rema and Burnaboy.

Rema’s “Iron Man” was seen on the playlist as well as Burnaboy’s ‘Anybody’.

Obama shared his playlist on Twitter and wrote, “From hip-hop to country to The Boss, here are my songs of the year. If you’re looking for something to keep you company on a long drive or help you turn up a workout, I hope there’s a track or two in here that does the trick.”

The singer in this year alone has landed a collaboration with American superstar Beyonce, a Grammy nomination, sold out concerts in the UK, and is now amassing luxury cars to his name.

Nigerian singer Burna Boy recently clinched his first-ever Grammy nomination with his African Giant album. Other African acts nominated were Angelique Kidjo, Trevor Noah, and other stars.

Nigerian act Burnaboy has been cancelled from the pending Africans Unite Concert in South Africa which was slated for 23rd November.

Despite the death threats gunned at him after his comments during the xenophobic attacks, Burnaboy still announced his intention to perform at the upcoming concert.

Nonetheless, after a back and forth engagement with Burna Boy’s team, Phambili and Play Media network have decided to withdraw the artiste from performing.

Furthermore, the ‘Africans Unite concert’ which was scheduled to take place on the 23rd has been cancelled. Based on this, provisions have been made for fans who already bought tickets to be refunded.
