An incident in South Africa has landed a 27 year old woman in court after she reportedly murdered a certain Christinah Sitsele for chasing her boyfriend.

The suspect was said to be apprehended on Monday, September 7, at Cyferkuil village near Brits after she stabbed Ditsele with a knife in the chest, Police spokesperson, Lt-Col Amanda Funani confirmed.

She was arraigned before the Moretele magistrate’s court in the North West, South Africa on Wednesday, September 9.

“It is alleged that the suspect had an argument with her 22-year-old boyfriend accusing him of cheating with the victim,” Funani said. “It is alleged that the suspect then saw Ditsele, whom she grabbed, pushed to the ground and stabbed in the chest.” he added.

The victim, Ditsele, was transported to the Kutlwaning Clinic where she was declared dead and the suspect was arrested and charged with murder.

The Marlian president was taken to the Lagos State Special Offenses Court at Ikeja by the state police command.

Reports say Naira Marley and his manager pleaded guilty to their charges and were fined one hundred thousand Naira each by the magistrate.

5 young Egyptian women have been sentenced to two years in prison by a court in Egypt for posting ‘indecent’ dance videos on social media platform TikTok.

The women were also fined 300,000 Egyptian pounds (A$26,000) each for “violating the values and principles of the Egyptian family,” inciting debauchery and promoting human trafficking, according to a statement from the public prosecutor.

The prosecution statement named 20-year-old student Haneen Hossam and 22-year-old Mawada Eladhm as defendants and said the other three helped run their social media accounts.

Hannen and Mawada a TikTok celebrities who have millions of followers across the globe and are famed for their videos including posing in cars and wearing makeup.

Lawyers representing the defendants have described the arrests and sentence as unfortunate and a “systematic crackdown that targets low-income women”.

“Eladhm was crying in court. Two years? 300,000 Egyptian pounds? This is really something very tough to hear,” said Samar Shabana, the attorney’s assistant.

One Pastor Glory Okeoghene Aberefa and Reverend Vincent Okpogo have been sentenced to 16 and 10 years imprisonment respectively by Justice F. N. Azinge of the Delta State High Court sitting in Otor-Udu for allegedly stealing 32 million Naira.

Pastor Aberefa and Reverend Okpogo were convicted for going under the guise of running a financial company, Mustard Seed Micro Investment Limited, and defrauded dozens of unsuspected members of the public of millions of naira.

The first defendant, Pastor Aberefa was sentenced to one year imprisonment on each of the 16 counts, while the second defendant, Reverend Okpogo was sentenced to one year imprisonment each on count seven to 16, all of which run consecutively.

EFCC stated in a write up said the convicts were prosecuted by the Benin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on 16-count charges, bordering on conspiracy to steal and stealing, contrary to Section 516 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Code, CAP 21, Vol 1, Laws of Delta State of Nigeria, 2006.

An Ejigbo Magistrate Court in Nigeria has remanded one Chinwendu Chita for beating up her husband mercilessly for not impregnating her.

The 32-year-old woman said she has been married for years but he is not showing any commitment for them having a baby.

It was reported that Police at Ago Palace had intervened on many occasions but the angry wife only aggravated the assault when they leave.

The reports also claimed that Chinwendu has been assaulting her husband, Okechukwu Chita, since 2018 so much so that he was afraid to return home.

Chinwendu allegedly locked up her husband inside the house on December 22, 2019 and inflicted injury on him using a frying spoon to smash his head and face.

She was reportedly assaulted the female police officer who was sent to invite her to the station as well.

The police arrested her, and she was charged before the Ejigbo Magistrates Court for the alleged assault on her husband and the police officer.
