Nollywood actress, Didi Ekanem has advised ladies to stop prioritizing money over good relationships.

The actress in a post on her Instagram page, she noted that money is very important but it should not be a yardstick for a good relationship.

She further advised that, ladies should stop insulting men that they’re broke, because if they decide to go into armed robbery, the ladies will despise them again.

She concluded that, a poor man today is a potential rich man tomorrow and so ladies should not be ashamed to date or even marry whoever they find fit.

She wrote: “You see this 2021 we are entering so, abeg my fellow sisters, no relationship motivational nonsense. Allow people to date who they want to date. If our mothers did not marry our broke fathers then, we will not be here. If you are lucky to find a man that takes care of you, lucky you then but don’t feel the need to make other women feel like they are unlucky because their destiny is different.

Money is good but don’t make it a yardstick for a good relationship. Stop calling men broke. If they become armed robbers now, you will complain. If they become yahoo boys, you will say God forbid, I can’t marry a yahoo boy, yet you call them broke. A broke man today will become rich tomorrow. All the rich men you see and hear of today were once broke, yet women still married them. It’s not a sin to date a broke man, stop misleading young women please.”

Nollywood actress, Didi Ekanem has taken to her Instagram page to share her 2 cents on the just ended End SARS protest that rocked Nigeria for about three weeks in October.

According to her, the protest did not achieve its intended purpose and as such has not been impactful.

She argued that, the very things they protested against are still in operation and nothing significant has actually changed.

She recounted her encounter with the police who harassed her and detained her at their station from morning till evening, yesterday, November 18.

Below is what she said.

“So yesterday, I made a one way U-turn on my way out, and before I could even complete the turning, I saw 10 task foe heavily armed men pointing guns at me with loud screams. As I opened my door, they threw me out of the drivers seat, seized my key and told me to go to the back seat with 4 policemen. At that point, I started crying and begging them buy they wouldn’t have it. They took me to an unknown destination, according to them, it’s where we will wait for their commander to come and decide what to do to my car.

“From 10-2pm, 5 hours, we waited for their commander to come. While waiting, I had cried out my eyes cos I was uncomfortable and hungry. To make matters worse, I was intensely harassed by one of them who was almost trying to use play to touch my breast. At that point, I lost my cool and flipped on him and he started saying that he’s only trying to help me”.
