Popular Kenyan socialite, Huddah Monroe has spat at the education system practice in Africa saying getting a degree at this part of the world has no use.

She opined that degree proves to be less useful as time pass by and that parents should stop putting pressure on their children to get a degree.

Huddah said instead of pushing a child to spend time in school chasing a degree he is not going to use, parents should focus on what their kids want to be.

She said, “Parents and old men/women need 2 stop discouraging young kids from what they aspire to do or be. Degrees have proved to be useless & very soon MORE USELESS! The education system needs to change. The error is long gone”.

This is not the first time a celebrity has spoken against formal education. Nigerian singer Simi also said it was total waste of time to spend years in school learning subjects you might never use in your life.

The Nigerian singer aired all her concerns on Instagram saying our educational system should rather focus on nurturing potentials and talent instead of feeding minds with ‘unnecessary’ subjects.

“educational system is so sh**.” She added that people have “potential and talent” but do not tap them because they spend many years in school learning something they don’t care about.
“What’s the point then? Who did this to us?”
