An Ethiopian man has joined the tall list of aged people who have recovered from the dreadful coronavirus disease which has since spread across the world with 9.5 million confirmed cases and almost 500,000 deaths.

The miraculous incident was shared on social media by a medical doctor who runs the hospital, Yared Agidew im the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa where the centenarian was treated.

People who are aged above eighty years are considered to be more susceptible to death if they contract the disease.

The government imposed a state of emergency on the country last April to help curtail spread of the virus. Businesses have since open but schools have closed.
