Nigerian singer Burna Boy has assured his fans he will bring home the enviable Grammy award come January 2020.

During a performance at US rapper Cardi B’s concert in Lagos, the self-acclaimed African Giant swore to his fans to bring the award home.

His African Giant album was recently nominated in the World Best Music Album slide.

He told the audience, “I go carry the Grammy come back and when I come back, we go reason.”

Burna Boy has clinched a 2020 Grammy nomination, his African Giant album having been slated into in award category.

The African Giant album has been nominated for the Best World Music Album among other albums belonging to some top notch artists from the diaspora.

 The Grammy Awards will be held on Monday 27th January 2020.

Nigerian afro beat singer, Yemi Alade, has been put into consideration for Grammy Award 2019.

The singer, who recently dropped her anticipated album ‘Woman of Steel’, took to her Instagram account to celebrate the great news as she aims to move her musical career to global stage.

“We are up for Grammy Award consideration. Reaching out to all voting members @recordingacademy to consider my Album ‘Woman of Steel’ for Best World Music Album.

The singer has several landmark achievements, which include BET, MTV African Music Award and MOBO awards as well as changing the narratives with her music outside the shores of Africa.
