Doyen Nigerian actress Joke Silva has addressed disturbing news that flooded the internet over her marriage and the current health status of her husband Olu Jacobs.

Rumor had it that the Veteran actor, Olu Jacobs is dead after battling some illness but his wife Joke Silva has disclosed that the 77-year-old is alive and kicking.

Joke Silva told TheNEWS that “family found the development so depressing that members had to speak out” after calls started coming through to confirm the false news.

Nollywood actress, Lala Akindoju, also wadded in on the conversation via twitter to deny rumor that veteran actor is dead.

Olu Jacobs, according to his wife Joke, will be celebrating his birthday come July in the most prestigious fashion.
