A prison’s vehicle transporting some criminals to court to face trial came under an attack from some armed men within the precincts of Plateau State High Court in Barkin Ladi. They subsequently freed four of the prisoners.

The vehicle which was moving from Jos, the state capital, was carting fourteen criminals who were accused of different crimes ranging from rape, kidnapping to murder.

The six armed men fired on the prison officers when the vehicle got to their hideout and succeeded in freeing their people.

Some of the freed suspects have since been rearrested and would be arraigned before a law court soon. Two motorcycles used by the fans have also been recovered from the scene.

Fans who paid to have singer Davido perform at a concert in Jos, Plateau State, last night, have destroyed the event’s properties after the singer was a no-show.

Reports claim Davido had earlier recorded a video saying he’d come, but had failed to do so.

The organizers upon noticing this, had tried to calm the concert goers who began throwing stones.
