One person who was strongly against the marriage between 19 year old Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels and her 59 year old husband Ned Nwoko is no other person than her father, Jude Ojeogwu.

Her father never agreed to that marriage because he thought she was too young to join a polygamous marriage and moreover the man was too old for her.

Jude Ojeogwu registered his displeasure by abstaining from their hugely publicised marriage ceremony. He felt his fellow barrister was unfair to him for chasing a girl who could pass off as his granddaughter.

However, he has decided to let issues slide and forgive his son-in-law for that piercing betrayal. Jude Ojeogwu turned up for the christening of his grandchild which took place in Abuja yesterday.

When asked why he changed his mind to grace the naming ceremony of his grandson, Regina Daniels’ father explained,

“The birth of this child has answered the question (about the controversy); everybody craves for peace, joy, and happiness. I have accepted everything. I feel very happy having a grandchild and that is why I am here. I traveled all the way from Lagos to this place just to celebrate with the family.”
