The Personal Assistant of Desmond Elliot and the area Commander of Surulere has visited musician, Oxlade’s manager Ojabee’s mother to apologise to her for assaulting her.

The old lady was assaulted by police officers during #EndSARS protest. She was allegedly slapped by a police officer.

Ojabee himself was arrested during the #EndSARS protest and was allegedly tortured to the extent that he lost control of his fingers due to a brain damage he suffered.

His mother was also assaulted during the protest. The commander and the PA of Desmond Elliot apologized to Ojabee’s mother and also revealed that the officer who slapped her has been arrested and will be arraigned before court soon.

Nigerian singer, Oxlade has taken to his Twitter handle to narrate what has happened to his brother who also doubles as his manager after he was arrested and allegedly tortured by the Nigerian police during the #EndSARS protest in Surulere in Lagos.

The police had accused Oja B of shooting at them and arrested and dragged him on the ground to the police station where he was detained for hours.

Celebrities and other citizens mounted a campaign to get him released. He was later released and according to Oxlade, he has suffered brain damage.

He took to twitter and wrote that his brother has suffered brain swelling and as such can’t control his fingers.

His tweets reads: “my brother has a swelling in his brain and he can’t control his fingers, thanks to the Nigerian Police. Thank you Nigerian government for failing the youth. I am lost for words right now, but please keep my brother In your prayers”

There’s currently a lot of pressure on president Buhari to listen to the demands of the youth as the #EndSARS protest enters its second week. They’re demanding among other things the dissolution of SARS/SWAT and the prosecution of officers who tortured and killed innocent protesters.
