Budding Nigerian afrobeats artiste, Omah Lay has taken to his social media pages to complain about a peculiar problem he’s been facing lately.

The singer who was recently released from prison in Uganda noted that he’s been falling in love easily these days.

Apparently worried about the development, the singer quizzed why he’s suffering such weakness.

He prayed to God to have mercy on him and direct him to the right path.

He tweeted: “WTF Man!! I’ve been falling in love anyhow these days, what is going on?? God!! Abeg o”

Fast rising Nigerian artiste, Omah Lay has recounted his experience in the hands of Ugandan police when he went to the East African country to perform.

You would recall that, Omah Lay and Tems were arrested in Uganda for performing to thousands of people in Uganda against Covid-19 protocols.

This singular act kept the duo in prison for some 24 hours before they regained their freedom on Thursday.

After coming back to his native land, the singer has taken to his Twitter handle to share his experience.

In one tweet, he said the past few days have given him a very bad experience, one that he wouldn’t even wish for his enemies.

He lamented that,the Ugandan police treated him and Tems like thieves during their time in their custody.

He tweeted, “The past few days have been some of the toughest of my life that I wouldn’t wish them on anyone. Out in a new country with some beautiful people, the next thing I’m being treated like a common thief”.

Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems are finally free and back in Nigeria after charges against them were dropped in Uganda.

The duo were arrested in Uganda after flouting Covid-19 protocols to perform on a show.

They were arraigned before court on Monday, December 14 and were charged with doing acts that promotes the spread of an infectious disease – Coronavirus.

Those charges were finally dropped a day later, and the two are finally back in Nigeria.

Abike Dabiri, the chairman of the Nigerians in diaspora commission disclosed that the two arrived in Nigeria around 2:15PM local time through Ethiopian Airways.

Uncomfirmed reports reaching us indicate that rising Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems have been released from Ugandan prisons.

Even though the details of their release has not been communicated but multiple accounts seem to be given credence to the report.

Singer, Peter Okoye popularly known as Mr P tweeted about this new development. He’s been very vociferous in the calls for the two artistes to be released.

He wrote: “Confirm!💯 @Omah_Lay and @temsbaby have been released! It is well guys!”

After a public outcry from Nigerian celebrities and the general public against the arrest and detention of singers, Omah Lay and Tems, the Ugandan authority has now dropped charges against them.

The fast rising artistes were arrested in Uganda on Sunday after they performed on a show in the country.

They were arraigned before court and charged with doing acts that would spread infectious disease – Covid-19.

The two were sent back to separate prisons after making an appearance in court on Monday.
