A Nigerian policeman is reported to have been arrested for mercilessly beating up his daughter almost to the point of death.

The officer whose name has been withheld was alleged to always bring forth his anger and frustration on his poor wife and daughter anytime he returns from his daily exploits.

According to the report on instablog9ja, the officer allegedly locked the little girl, Edidiong, up in their home along Abak Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State after the unfortunate incident.

The little girl, however, has been rescued by the Nigerian Ministry of Women Affairs and the policeman arrested for investigations.
