Nigerian comedian, Mr Macaroni has taken to his Twitter handle to lash out at Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari for his inept attitude towards the kidnapping of over 300 students in Nigeria.

The students were kidnapped in the north-western part of Nigeria where the president was touring.

President Buhari, instead of going there himself to ascertain the truth, he sent a delegation from Abuja to go and meet the families of the victims.

Mr Macaroni took to his Twitter page and called out his president for not acting presidential in this case.

“Omo!! I woke up this morning and I have been thinking deeply!! How can Gunmen kidnap 330 School Children ( or even more ) in the same state that the President is in?? Then the President still had to send a delegation from Abuja to access the situation??? Haaaaaa”, he tweeted.

Trey Songz, an award winning American singer, has spat in the face of Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, for his statement on the #EndSARS campaign.

Trey Songz was part of the many international celebrities who added their voice to Nigerian protesters calling for the dissolution of SARS.

He told President Buhari straight to his face that he thinks the president is full of sh*t.

Buhari wrote on his twitter page;

“I met again with the IGP tonight. Our determination to reform the police should never be in doubt. I am being briefed regularly on the reform efforts ongoing to end police brutality and unethical conduct, and ensure that the Police are fully accountable to the people.”

President of Nigeria, HE Muhammadu Buhari has lost over 100,000 followers on twitter in a blink as controversial personality Reno Omokri started a hastag #UnfollowBuhari.

This is at the height of protest by Nigerians demanding for their government to end the operations of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a unit of the Nigerian Police.

At 5Pm yesterday, Reno Omokri tweeted to his followers;

“Dear Nigerians,  If we all mean business with this #EndSARS movement, let’s send a strong message to General @MBuhari.

“He has 3.5 million followers. If we all stop following him and he sees his Twitter following drop by 1 million, he will sit up. Who is with me? Let’s go there! As at that time, President Buhari had 3.5 million followers.

Few hours after his tweet, the president’s followers reduced drastically and Omokri came back to ask for more.

“Dear Nigerians,  When I started the #UnfollowBuhari campaign as part of my #EndSARS protest, some laughed. Well, look. In just 1 hour, we have reduced Buhari’s following by 100,000. Never underestimate your influence.
When Nigerians wake up, government will be afraid of us!”

Director of Socials and Empowerment, at the Committee of Youth on Mobilisation and Sensitisation (CYMS), Tonto Dikeh has showered president Buhari with lots of praises, says the Buhari led administration has done a lot towards the development of the youth.

Contrary to what many Nigerians hold about the Buhari led administration, Tonto Dikeh believes president Buhari has done incredibly well especially in the area of youth empowerment.

Tonto, whiles speaking to News Agency Nigeria (NAN) noted that, Buhari has done a lot of work for the youth and it’s only good the youth take advantage of the opportunities available to climb to the next level in their careers.

She however bemoaned the number of media outlets churning out what she describes as fake news. This fake news, according to her, drowns the good initiatives of Buhari and his government.

“I didn’t know that because something that is actually, is worse than the pandemic which is actually eating into our society and that is fake news, which is wrong news, which is bad news.” “Which is what we have and always have been getting, the news that the government is trying to help the youths or the platform in which they help the youth are not found.” “The information just stops halfway, and it`s not getting to the people who actually need it.”
