Celebrated Nigerian singers , Yemi Alade and Sinach have been among the likes of Okonjo Iweala and blogger Linda Ikeji and 16 other Nigerian celebrities on top 100 most influential women in Africa.

The list highlights the efforts these women are putting to change the century old mentality that this is a man’s world and cuts across 34 countries in the African continent it is complied by Ghanaian based company Avance Media.

Sinach born Osinachi Joseph placed 82nd on the list for the first time in the entertainment category. Yemi Alade also came in at the 98th position on the list.

Nigerian women recorded the most representation this year as they topped the list with 20 appearances. South Africa and Ghana made up the top three with 11 and 9 women leaders respectively.

Nigerian gospel musician, Sinach is celebrating six years of marriage to her husband, Joseph Egbu.

The forty-seven old singer who got married to her husband, a pastor of Pastor Chris’ church, Christ Embassy welcomed their first born last year.

Sharing a beautiful photo of the couple on her Instagram handle, she wrote: 

Happy anniversary to us!! Happy anniversary my warrior, my cover, my no 1 cheerleader. My lover, my best friend, my teacher oh, best daddy in d world, my king, my honey, fight buddy and first baby.. these past 6 yrs !! Yes oh Six years. We’ve prayed, rejoiced, cried, built and won many battles together in Jesus name. And the Lord has kept His promises and open gates and nations. I love you even more … Chime. Sinach, an award winning gospel musician and her husband has verbally pounced on pastors who have chosen science over God, amid coronavirus outbreak.

Pastor Joe Egbu, Sinach’s husband began the attack when he expressed his displeasure in the rate of “Men of God” relegating the teaching of the church to believe in science.

It’s a Shame that Faith in God and Wisdom of God have been relegated in our Society. People of God rely more on Science( Inventions) than God (Inventor) Some Men of God now seek counsels from the People of the World ( I thought reverse was the case). They have relinquished their Authorities and Churches have become Gathering of Convenience.

They have become Sheep like their Congregation, cowardly waiting for any Shepherd to proffer solution. It’s a Shame that Church, known for healing, is now regarded as a place to avoid.

Reacting to her husband’s post, Sinach preached that the gates of hell will not prevail over the church.

Nigerian gospel musician Osinachi Joseph Kalu, known in showbiz as Sinach, has given birth to her first child at the age of 46 and after five years of marriage.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome happily broke the news during the just ended LIMA awards, which was held in Lagos at the Loveworld Convocation Arena.

At the event, Sinach went home with the $100,000 prize, for the Song of the Year Award 2019 “There’s An Overflow”.

Pastor Chris while giving her the award said:“Thank you for that song, we are all excited with what the Lord has done in your life, of course in the life of many others standing with you here we just love you. And I told them, you just had a baby! so everybody got excited.”
