A video has gone viral on social media showing food items being given away for free to poor and needy people in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic which has caused many countries to shut down.

The deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) has been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak was in Wuhan, China but currently Italy has had the highest confirmed deaths related to coronavirus than were recorded in China.

The virus has, since its outbreak, spread to other parts of the world. In addition to Asia, Europe and America are the most affected by the spread of the virus. The African continent has recently began to have its fair share of confirmed cases.

As a result, many planned social gatherings have been cancelled, flights have halted and the pandemic continues to take a toll on economies.

These are indeed difficult times for the world. And in times like these, people take solace in messages of hope and assurance that humanity will overcome its challenges.

As part of the measures outlined to combat the spread of the coronavirus, the World Health Organization (WHO) and its affiliate agencies have recommended social distancing.

Many countries have declared state of emergency and are under lock down to ensure there is minimal contacts among people.

But again, people have proven that there is hope for humanity after all. In Turkey, a video shows that people are leaving food items for the poor and needy free of charge.

Ghanaian actress, Salma Mumin who also owns a restaurant around East Legon in Accra, has expressed frustration with Turkish Airlines customer care for their poor service.

The actress has been to a brief vacation at Turkey where she treated her fans to exciting videos and pictures of her activities over there.

However, it seems Salma is stuck in Turkey. According to the actress, she had missed her flight three times.

Claiming she is homesick, she blamed Turkish Airlines for their poor customer care service.

“I AM FRUSTRATED! 📝 @turkishairlines CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST I HAVE EXPERIENCED SO FAR! THEY CARE ABOUT NOBODY BUT THEIR MONEY 💰 I DOUBT I WILL EVER USE THIS AIRLINE AGAIN”, her caption read.
