2020 Big Brother Naija Lockdown edition ended on Sunday September 27 with housemate Laycon emerging as winner of show.

Laycon beat the likes of Dorathy, Nengi, Neo and Vee with a highest number of votes 60% from viewers. The lowest was from fans of Vee with just 1.18% votes.

Huddah posted these Instagram stories after Vera Sidika uploaded a post asking fans to vote for her business to win an award. Vera Sidika Beauty Parlor has been nominated for favorite Salon of The Year Award.

Vera Sidika is yet to retaliate, however one can argue that Huddah was just speaking randomly. If Vera’s name was not mentioned, it’s not direct shade.

Statistics emerging from the last day of the BBNaija Season 4 tagged Pepper Dem Gang’ episode reveals that Nigerians spent N7.2 billion on votes alone.

The host of this season’s show, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu said that the overall votes cast for the show was more than 240 million, out of which 50 million votes were cast for last week’s grand finale.

Reports indicate that it costs N30 to cast a vote on the BBNaija Reality TV Show. For a country like Nigeria, with issues stemming from large bills from NEPA, high price of fuel and unemployment, online begging, depreciation of the Naira among other things, are the votes for BBNaija a misplaced priority?

The N7.2 billion figure spent on votes is higher than the allocation received by three Nigerian states for the month of January.
