Media personality, Noble Igwe has taken to social media to share his opinion on who sings better, between Nigerian female musicians, Yemi Alade and Waje.

The controversial OAP noted that, Yemi Alade does not come anywhere near Waje when it comes to singing.

He noted that, Waje can outsing Yemi Alade everyday and can even do that twice on Sunday.

Noble Igwe was responding to a tweet from PR Consultant, Ogagus, who wrote that “nobody can out sing Yemi Alade in the Nigerian music scene’ because she is a vocal powerhouse, and has ‘total control of her instrument.”

Replying to the tweet, Noble wrote: “Waje will out sing Yemi Alade everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.”

The Department of State Services DSS and the Lagos State Police Command have denied reports that they invited entertainers, Don Jazzy, Yemi Alade And Waje for questioning over making some political comments.

It was earlier reported by a couple of media outlets that, the trio have been invited by the DSS and the Lagos State Police to warn them against making some political pronouncements against the Buhari led administration.

However, in an interview with Punch, the DSS spokesman, Peter Afunnaya, denied the report saying “We didn’t invite any musician.”

Bala Elkan, the spokesperson of the state police command also denied the reports, adding that the said Zuberu Muazu who was said to have invited Yemi Alade and Waje “ceased being CP more than 10 months ago.”

He continued; “The present CP is Hakeem Odumosu, who came in November last year. Zubairu Muazu has even retired from service; he retired as an AIG.” He denied having any knowledge of their invitation.

Multiple reports have it that Nigerian music producer and record label owner, Don Jazzy has been invited by the Department of State Security (DSS) and the Lagos State Police over some alleged political comments he made on social media.

The Punch reports that, the singer was invited to the office and cautioned against making comments on social media that go against the Buhari led administration.

Other entertainers who were captured by the report to have been invited by the DSS and the Police in similar fashion are, Yemi Alade and Waje.

The two were also warned to avoid making some political pronouncements on social media that has the tendency of tainting the image of the government.

‘Frenemies’ composer, Aituaje Irube aka Waje, has shared some unforgettable memories in her life while growing in the music industry.

The Nigerian singer disclosed in an Instagram Live chat with fans that she got pregnant at an early age while she was in the third year in High School.

She said, “I got into a relationship in SS3 and the relationship went from ‘puppy love’ to sexual. At that time, I felt I loved him and that (sex) was the only way I could express my love.

She added that she got a call from her pastor when the church realized that she has conceived as a results of unprotected intercourse and they sanctioned her.

“I got pregnant and I remembered one afternoon, I was in the bathroom when someone came to my house and told me my pastor wanted to see me. I knew that day, there were two things that would happen ― either I died or I died. Everything in me got drained.

“Anyway, I went to see the pastor. He was in a conference room with other pastors and he said to me, ‘If you lie, you will die because you are standing in front of God, Holy Spirit and me.’

“He asked me, ‘Are you pregnant?’ and I said, ‘Yes’. He was so disappointed. He told me he wanted to see me in church every Wednesday and Sunday but I would no longer sing in the choir.”

The singer also said she told her family about her pregnancy after she finished writing her final year exams.

“I wrote the WASSCE while pregnant and nobody knew; not even my mother. I told her about my pregnancy after five months.

“After one-morning devotion, I told her I had something to tell her. I told her I was pregnant and wasn’t planning on aborting it.”
