Congolese NBA star, Serge Ibaka, who plays for the Toronto Raptors shares a video on Twitter of himself with Larry O’Brian eating in a restaurant in Congo.

He captioned the video “From begging leftovers 15 years ago to coming back as an NBA Champion to eat a full meal at the same restaurant in Congo. Sometimes life is like a movie and this script is written by God only…”

Who Is Serge Ibaka?

Serge Jonas Ibaka Ngobila is a Congolese-Spanish professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Ibaka was drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder’s former incarnation, the Seattle SuperSonics, with the 24th overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft.

He is a three-time NBA All-Defensive First Team selection and has twice led the league in blocks. Although born in the Republic of the Congo, Ibaka plays for the Spanish national basketball team in international competition.
