Medal-winning athlete Caster Semenya has revealed that she used to walk without clothes in the dressing room to prove she was a female. This was to dispel wrong perceptions among her colleague athletes.
The South African runner made this known during a women sports conference. She also talked about her struggles during her childhood and how she ditched football pitch for the tracks.
Caster Semenya recently lost her appeal to run in women championship unless she takes drugs to lower her testosterone hormones. The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) banned her from running since it believed her high level of testosterone gives her undue advantage over the other female competitors.
