Nigeria Customs Seizes A Cache of Tramadol
Nigerian Customs officers have seized a cache of tramadol and other contrabands in Lagos, the commercial hub of the country. They acted on a tip-off and intercepted a truck that had been dispatched to supply the drugs to other parts of the country.
The truck driver was arrested immediately. He led the officers to the warehouse where the remaining drugs were stored. The place was installed with heavy security presence to wade off any intrusion.
The Customs officials pegged the street value of the illicit drugs at a whooping 5 billion naira ($14m). Investigation is underway to apprehend the remaining culprits of the cartel of the botched transaction.
