Popular Kenyan photographer and entrepreneur Moses Mukiibi aka Rnaze is onto a new hustle, a project that involves selling thrift clothing aka mtumba (second hand) clothes. Rnaze who was already pretty famous in the entertainment industry rose to instafame when he and his long term girlfriend, Nairobi’s sweetheart Natalie Tewa broke up publicly and broke the hearts of their ‘love wins’ obsessed fans.

Fast forward to post break up phase, Rnaze is now buying thrift clothes for men and selling them online on a website officially launched last week known as 3ftythursday. Of course, you didn’t expect him to be selling at the flea market did you? As a co-founder of 3ftythursday, Rnaze took to social media to explain to his followers what the website was all about. Basically, the company purchases unique top quality thrift items for men and sells them on their website after washing, steaming and pressing the clothes.

The website is only open on Thursdays from midday to midnight for orders and upon placing an order, delivery is done within 24 hours at a reasonable fee. Furthermore, if the items don’t fit well, the company allows free returns and the delivery of the item exchanged will be free as well. On Instagram, Rnaze explained that he founded 3ftythursday.com to cater for men’s clothing needs at an affordable price and at the shopper’s convenience. In his statement, he admitted to not liking being seen shopping at thrift stores and the smell of the garments also was a big turn off to thrift shopping.

If this whole masculine feeling of being ashamed of buying mtumba clothes is common among many men, then 3ftythursday might just have solve a massive problem for the boy child while giving Rnaze a pretty penny.
