Dj Arafat met his untimely death in a motor accident on Sunday 11th August 2019. A cctv footage revealed the whole incident as he crashed against the boot of another vehicle and immediately somersaulted, falling in front of the vehicle.
His death shocked the entire continent as tributes poured in from all over including Davido, Didier Drogba, Toofan and host of other celebrated personalities.

DJ Arafat was best noted for his tremendous impact on Coupé Décalé, a genre of music widely enjoyed by many Ivorians and francophones.
Yorobo, as he is affectionately called, was ranked as the 3rd most influential musician by Universal Music Africa after Tiwa Savage and Wizkid.
The President of the Republic of Ivory Coast will take charge of final funeral rites of DJ Arafat.
