Five Killed In Algeria Stadium Stampede
At least five people have been confirmed dead by rescue workers after a musical concert in the Algerian capital, Algiers caused a stampede on Thursday night. Many music lovers were forcing their way into the venue which has only four entrances.
The headline performer was the French-based Algerian rapper, Soolking who has a huge fan base in the north African country. Efforts to get into the stadium venue caused a stampede. Many people fell down and got injured with the five been declared dead.
Soolking whose real name is Abderraouf Derradj, still proceeded with the concert and it was broadcast on national television. He took to his Instagram page to commiserate with victims of the disaster on Friday.
