WATCH: KOD Speaks On Wutahs Breakup

The CEO of the “Nineteen 57” Clothing line, KOD, in an interview on Hitz FM today spoke about the breakup of the hiplife group Wutah. Wutah, which was made up of Afriyie and Wutah Kobby, reunited in 2017 after their breakup and was signed onto Guru’s NKZ Records.

KOD said “what killed me was wutahs breakup”. He said they had become family but had issues so he always advised, “they don’t have to be friends to work to make money”

He also said he advised them to always look at the bigger picture. He added always telling them he wants them on as Wutah and also said same to Praye so he tried reviving them about a year ago before their come back.

He claims Afriyie has always been the problem regardless of his talent but his attitude towards his work has always been an issue. He also said one wouldn’t always show up for their studio section even though they had someone paying for their recording.

He concluded by saying ‘I’ve been vindicated’ because people would always say KOD didn’t try and that’s why he couldn’t hold them. So their break up after Guru brought them together vindicated him.
